This role is crucial in keeping our STP equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. By ensuring timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of key mechanical systems, you help prevent downtime, protect asset performance, and support smooth plant operations.
What You鈥檒l Drive
- Maintenance of STP assets, including screens and wash compactors, grit extraction systems, blowers, aerators, etc.
- Cleaning of tanks with proper risk assessments and necessary mitigation plans, whenever instructed by the concerned engineer.
- Overhauls, repairs, or replacement of parts for pumps, valves, penstocks, blowers, etc.
- Alignment and installation of motors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
- Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc., and perform diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
- Conduct repairs with the goal of ensuring maximum reliability.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
- Replenish fluids and components of gearboxes, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Maintain housekeeping of STP areas after completing maintenance work.
