About the Role
We are seeking a Group Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for two of Vestcom's highest-priority growth areas: In-Store Digital Media and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL). This role is responsible for driving business outcomes across both product lines, leading a team of product managers, and partnering closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver products that create measurable value for retailers and brands.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on discovery practices, maintaining direct relationships with customers while coaching their team to do the same. This is a high-visibility role at the center of Vestcom's transformation from paper-based solutions to digital retail media, representing Vestcom not only to customers but also to partners, industry peers, and the press.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Outcomes
Own product vision and roadmap for In-Store Digital Media and ESL product lines, with accountability for business outcomes including retailer adoption, brand revenue, and margin performance
Define and track success metrics that connect product initiatives to business results, not just feature delivery
Make prioritization decisions based on customer value and business impact, adjusting course as you learn what works
Identify market adjacencies that expand the addressable market and develop effective product strategies to pursue them
Customer Discovery & Validation
Conduct ongoing customer research, including weekly conversations with retailers, brands, and store operations teams
Identify customer problems and opportunities through direct engagement, translating insights into product strategy
Design and run experiments to validate product hypotheses before committing significant engineering resources
Build evidence-based business cases for new initiatives, including market sizing and competitive positioning
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop product managers, with emphasis on building discovery capabilities and strategic thinking
Foster a team culture focused on learning and outcomes rather than output volume
Create clarity on goals and priorities while giving team members autonomy in how they achieve results
Advance product management rigor and productivity across the team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering and design as part of integrated product teams, collaborating on solutions rather than handing off requirements
Work with sales, marketing, and customer success on go-to-market strategy, positioning, and sales enablement
Partner with the commercial team to help drive client adoption of new products
Communicate product strategy, progress, and learnings to executive leadership and stakeholders
