About the Role
We are seeking a UX Designer to own the user experience across Vestcom's digital product portfolio, with primary focus on In-Store Digital Media and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL). This role is responsible for understanding retailer and brand user needs, designing solutions that drive adoption and satisfaction, and partnering closely with product management and engineering to deliver experiences that create measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines strong research skills with hands-on design execution, maintaining direct relationships with users while translating insights into intuitive interfaces. You will design experiences for multiple user types鈥攔etailers managing shelf-edge media programs, brands running advertising campaigns, and store operations teams interacting with in-store technology. This is a high-visibility role at the center of Vestcom's transformation from paper-based solutions to digital retail media.
Key Responsibilities
User Research & Discovery
Conduct ongoing user research with retailers, brands, and store operations teams to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities
Partner with product managers on customer discovery, participating in interviews and translating insights into design implications
Design and run usability tests to validate design hypotheses before committing engineering resources
Build user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints that inform product strategy across the portfolio
Product Design & Execution
Own end-to-end design for In-Store Digital Media and ESL products, from concept through detailed specifications
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals
Establish and maintain design systems and component libraries that enable consistent, scalable product development
Design for multiple contexts: retailer dashboards, brand campaign tools, store operations interfaces, and in-store displays
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with product management and engineering as part of integrated product teams, collaborating on solutions rather than receiving handoffs
Work with sales and customer success to understand user feedback and inform design priorities
Communicate design rationale, progress, and learnings to stakeholders across the organization
Contribute to go-to-market by designing demo experiences, sales materials, and onboarding flows
