We are seeking passionate Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers with experience in the gas sector to join our teams across our North, Midlands and Scotland Region operating from 8 regional offices, to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, both nationally and locally. You will be joining a growing team of like-minded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

Here’s what you’ll do:

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be expected to support the project  team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects which will include gas transmission and storage projects. This role involves providing client-side cost management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from option studies, option development, construction tender support through to NEC contract administration.

• Support the successful delivery of cost/commercial management commissions.
• Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Assist in monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities)
• Prepare supporting cost reports and assist in project reviews at appropriate points throughout the project lifecycle which will inform
• governance decisions of projects by providing evaluations financial performance, risk, and contingency
• Attend project meetings, taking responsibility for cost/commercial matters
• Lead support to project managers on contract management services on NEC4 contracts, administering through a contract management system.
• Advise the client on procurement strategies and review tender documentation.
• Assist in the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary gas transmission and storage projects.
• Actively manage contractors and subcontractors’ payments and final accounts
• Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
• Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients
