Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Lead to drive the successful delivery of semiconductor
facility projects. The ideal candidate will manage a team of Process Utilities and Cleanroom
Leads to support the delivery of semiconductor projects through programming, design, detail
engineering and construction administration stage. The position requires a good understanding
of the process utilities supplier ecosystem and an ability to engage the owner’s facilities teams,
engineering SMEs and external consultants as well as the specialist vendors to define, design,
specify, review and approve the various critical facility systems the various project delivery
stages. The position calls for an understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, tool utility matrix and hook-up design and the supporting process utilities. She / he will oversee day-to-day project activities, coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, and ensure the timely execution of project deliverables while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering, construction, and client
teams, ensuring alignment with industry standards and driving innovative, cost-effective, and
high-performance solutions for advanced semiconductor facilities.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Controls
- Lead full lifecycle engineering project management for semiconductor facility and utility projects, from concept, basis of design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and manage engineering execution plans - including scope definition, cost
- estimates, schedule, risk plans, quality, communication, change management and resource allocation.
- Oversee development of project schedule, conduct periodic reviews, and facilitate preparation of catch-up plans.
- Oversee packaging/procurement and vendor management strategy, including RFP preparation, bid technical evaluations, and expediting of long-lead semiconductor equipment and utility systems.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams (process, mechanical, electrical, CSA, automation) to ensure alignment across design deliverables and timely issue resolution.
- Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, and value engineering workshops to optimize cost, schedule, operability, and quality.
- Manage project governance and reporting, including weekly progress updates, monthly dashboards, earned value management (EVM), and client executive presentations.
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor standards, internal QA/QC procedures, and project-specific quality requirements throughout design and execution.
- Support permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with AOR/authorities, environmental teams, and permitting consultants.
- Coordinate closely with construction management teams for field clarifications (RFIs), technical approvals, installation support, and resolution of site issues.
- Champion digital project management tools, including BIM-based coordination, digital twins, ACC-cloud collaboration platforms, and data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain strong stakeholder alignment, ensuring client expectations, cross-functional requirements, and project constraints are continually managed.
- Proactively resolve project challenges, negotiate solutions, and maintain forward momentum across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Semiconductor Utilities – Process & Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership to the team for development, design and optimization of process utilities used in FABs, including-Bulk Gases, Specialty Gases, UPW, DIW, ETP, ZLD, Chemical Storage & Supply Systems.
- Support business development and proposal preparation.
- Lead feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost evaluations for utility and facility systems.
- Guide team for the preparation of and review technical documents such as DBRs, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, equipment specifications, and engineering reports.
- Review and approve vendor engineering packages; manage vendor selection and technical negotiations.
- Provide process inputs for control logic, automation, and integration with factory systems.
- Support commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) of FAB utilities and equipment.
- Act as technical leader and driver coordination with architects, MEP engineers, facility planners, vendors & client operation and design teams, to ensure optimal utility layout and integration.
- Align process and utility requirements with client objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and training to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
