Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Material Expeditor - MEP with a strong background in semiconductor facility projects. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience in expediting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials for large-scale industrial and high-tech projects. This role involves ensuring timely delivery of materials, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and maintaining compliance with quality and project timelines.
Responsibilities:
Material Expediting:
- Track and monitor material delivery schedules for MEP packages.
- Monitor material movement from vendors to site and resolve delays proactively.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for priority handling of critical items.
Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
- Address vendor-related issues and escalate delays to management.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers for timely resolution of challenges.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of material status and prepare expediting reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly expediting reports for project management and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation for material approvals and certifications..
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections and certifications as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and semiconductor industry norms.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Act as the interface between procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
- Provide timely updates on material status to project managers and clients.
- Assist in resolving material-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
