We are seeking an Associate Director in the Transport Planning and Mobility team with a good appreciation and understanding of the market in UAE and KSA. Acting as the lead on TIS/TMP, masterplanning, traffic engineering, planning and parking projects, and much more.
The duties fall broadly into two categories – Team Management and Technical Leadership and Management. Key duties are as follows.
Technical Leadership and Management
Lead transport and mobility projects, leading with technical and commercial excellence.
Be aware of and adhere to relevant legislation, codes of practice and departmental policies when planning and directing the delivery of transport modelling related projects in the region. In particular Abu Dhabi and KSA.
Continuously improve technical and industry knowledge by participating in forums and other industry related programs.
Interact and co-ordinate with other business lines on various multi-disciplinary projects;
Manage the preparation of client reports, bringing together the contributions from other specialist areas of the business. Whilst supervising of workload of the team.
Developing Technical and Financial Proposals and take on Project Management for delivery of transport planning tasks and projects.
Develop detailed methodologies and provide strategic advice for our clients.
Produce and deliver presentations to clients and teams, delivering integrated, sustainable, and effective transport solutions.
Review internal processes for effectiveness and efficiency and suggest possible areas for improvement where necessary.
Team Management
Someone who has team leadership skills, can mentor and develop others to help grow and strengthen the team and individuals.
Effectively represent AECOM to relevant government departments, external agencies and other bodies appropriate to the post.
Plan, direct and deliver the services in accordance with appropriate procedures and legislation.
Develop and implement initiatives to enhance AECOM’s Transport Planning services offering, product, and supporting infrastructure (e.g. software, modelling tools, capability statement, etc.)
Maintain a watching brief on best working practices within and beyond local government, and ensure these are effectively communicated to the team.
