AECOM is currently seeking a Project Manager with a strong architectural background and preferably with an active architectural license to join our growing team in one of the following offices: San Franciso, Oakland, Los Angeles, Sacramento or San Jose, CA.
This is an opportunity to lead impactful architectural projects from planning and design through construction, while collaborating across disciplines in a dynamic, global design environment. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of architectural projects — from initial concept development through construction completion. You will lead project teams, interface directly with clients, ensure design and documentation quality, and help drive project delivery success. A licensed architect is preferred to bring both creative vision and technical rigor, along with proven leadership in managing scope, schedule, and budget on complex projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery
Serve as primary client contact throughout project development
Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation and construction drawings
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations
Support internal resourcing, consultant coordination, and team performance
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and AECOM standards
May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists.
May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades.
Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.
