AECOM seeks a seasoned CAD Draftsman – Civil 3D with 14–16 years of experience—preferably gained on major airport developments—to deliver high-quality airside and landside stormwater-drainage designs. Operating on a 12-month contract, you will translate complex hydrologic/hydraulic analyses into constructible, regulation-compliant CAD deliverables that optimize airport operations, safety, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead production of detailed Civil 3D drawings for runway, taxiway, and apron drainage, culverts, channels, detention/retention basins, and pump-station layouts.
Integrate grading, earthworks, and utilities considerations to create clash-free, constructible designs.
Build and calibrate models (e.g., Rational Method, SWMM, HEC-RAS) to simulate rainfall-runoff processes, flood routing, and system capacities unique to airport environments.
Interpret model outputs and iterate designs to meet hydraulic performance targets.
Embed ICAO, FAA, and local airport-authority drainage/safety standards (e.g., runway/taxiway infiltration limits, RESA grading, wildlife hazard minimization) into design deliverables.
Prepare compliance matrices and support regulators’ approvals.
Interface daily with airside civil, geotechnical, utilities, and structural teams to resolve drainage-pavement interactions and protect critical underground services.
Facilitate design reviews, clash-detection sessions, and BIM coordination meetings.
Produce detailed drainage plans, profiles, sections, and 3-D models; develop technical specifications, quantity take-offs, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
Compile calculation reports and presentation materials for client and stakeholder workshops.
