Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Expert with 8–10 years of professional experience in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the planning, design, and implementation of AGL systems, ensuring compliance with international standards such as ICAO Annex 14, FAA, and airport authority regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and specification of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, including runway, taxiway, apron, approach, stop-bar, guidance, and obstruction lighting.
- Develop comprehensive AGL layout plans, circuiting, Constant Current Regulator (CCR) sizing, ducting, and pit layouts.
- Ensure full compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA, and relevant airport authority standards.
- Collaborate with airside civil, electrical, ATC/ATM, and airfield signage teams to ensure seamless integration of AGL systems with pavement works, visual aids, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align AGL designs with overall airport development plans.
- Review vendor submittals, interface drawings, and photometric performance data.
- Provide technical inputs for the procurement of AGL fixtures, CCRs, and control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Provide technical support during airside construction activities, including installation supervision, testing, photometric calibration, and commissioning of AGL systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and operational handover of AGL systems.
- Ensure system reliability, redundancy, and safety, with a focus on compatibility with Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring Systems (ALCMS) and airport operational protocols.
- Address technical challenges and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
