Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Airport Systems Specialist with 14–16 years of professional experience in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering and a proven track record in the planning, design, and implementation of advanced airport systems, including Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), Ground Power Units (GPU), Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) systems, and Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and technical specification of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), Ground Power Units (GPU), Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) systems, and Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS) for aircraft stands.
- Develop equipment layouts, utility requirements, and capacities, ensuring seamless integration with terminal architecture, airside civil/structural design, and apron operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g., ICAO, IATA) and airport authority requirements for safety, apron clearances, aircraft compatibility, and operational efficiency.
- Address regulatory and procedural guidelines to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Review vendor proposals, technical submittals, interface drawings, and performance data.
- Provide technical inputs for procurement and equipment selection, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of PBB, GPU, PCA, and VDGS systems.
- Resolve site issues and ensure reliable operation of all systems during project handover.
- Collaborate with operations, IT/systems, electrical, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration, connectivity, and long-term lifecycle performance.
- Address technical challenges and ensure compatibility with terminal and apron operations.
