AECOM is seeking a Traffic & Intelligent Transportation System Manager to be based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Position would involve project management for traffic related projects with opportunity to lead design on ITS projects
- Provide supervision of junior staff for project development and coordination of tasks
- Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department
- Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments
- Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
- Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
- ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process
- Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.
- Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.
- Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation
- Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards
- Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities
- Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience
- Works under minimal supervision
- Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits
- Manages group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit
