At AECOM we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager(Power) to join us at our Dublin office.
The Power Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of major power infrastructure projects across Dublin Airport’s landside campus. This role oversees the safe and efficient delivery of complex electrical utility programmes, including high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, substations, renewable integration, and resilience initiatives.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Your day to day will include but not be limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:
Power Infrastructure Delivery
Lead the full lifecycle delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across LV, MV, and HV networks, including both primary and secondary distribution systems.
Manage the development of new substations and the upgrade of existing assets, including switchgear replacements and transformer installations.
Coordinate the integration of SCADA systems, protection schemes, and grid interface requirements to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Oversee the design and construction of utility corridors, including underground and overhead cable routing, ducting systems, chambers, and interfaces with existing buried services.
Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with ESB Networks standards, airport electrical safety regulations, and applicable IEC/EN codes.
Energy Resilience & Sustainable Infrastructure
Support the implementation of resilient power systems to safeguard operational continuity.
Contribute to the integration of renewable energy technologies and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Assist in long-term energy planning initiatives aligned with capacity growth, carbon reduction, and efficiency objectives.
Programme, Commercial & Contract Management
Deliver complex infrastructure works within a live operational airport environment, ensuring zero disruption to critical systems and services.
Lead programme planning and control activities, including detailed scheduling, risk identification and mitigation, interface management, and phased delivery strategies.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Asset Management, Safety, ICT, and Facilities teams to coordinate project delivery.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as ESB Networks, planners, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Coordinate statutory approvals, grid connection processes, and ensure full regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Administer and manage contracts, typically under NEC4 (ECC Options A, C, and D), ensuring robust commercial oversight.
Manage early warnings, compensation events, variations, change control, and cost management processes.
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety requirements, including RAMS approval, permit-to-work systems, and electrical isolation procedures.
