The SH&E Advisor will be responsible with identifying SH&E requirements. With the ability to assess and monitor compliance requirements and alignment with local SH&E legislative and regulatory obligations, as well as project and AECOM business requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the field/project point of contact for SH&E-related matters.
- Identify AECOM, project, and legislative requirements and ensure stakeholder compliance.
- Conduct daily inspections of contractor activities to ensure adherence to SH&E policies, plans, and obligations.
- Perform daily visual inspections, report issues, and submit observation findings to the contractor via the project reporting system. Follow up on close-outs within established timeframes.
- Under general supervision, perform technical work across a wide range of environmental, health, and safety disciplines to maintain compliance with ES&H standards, as well as federal and state regulations.
- Apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to environmental specialty with demonstrated knowledge.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
- Monitor and mitigate hazards and health risks present in the work environment.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints related to workplace hazards.
