AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Highway Project/Design Build Manager to lead the delivery of complex design-build and progressive design-build mega projects in Salt Lake City, Utah and throughout the surrounding region. This role will play a critical leadership position in managing large-scale transportation programs for state and local agencies, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, and driving successful project execution from pursuit through final delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong relationships within the Utah transportation market and a proven ability to manage major roadway, highway, bridge, rail, and transit infrastructure projects under alternative delivery methods. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large design-build and progressive design-build transportation mega projects across Utah and neighboring states.
- Serve as Project Manager from pursuit and proposal development through design, construction, and closeout.
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams including roadway, structures, traffic, rail, environmental, and construction management professionals.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to ensure successful delivery of complex infrastructure programs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients including state departments of transportation and local transportation agencies.
- Provide strategic leadership during alternative delivery pursuits, including teaming strategies, technical solutions, and cost proposals.
- Monitor financial performance, contract compliance, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
- Foster strong working relationships with contractors, joint venture partners, and key stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop project managers and technical staff to build long-term organizational strength.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and design standards.
