Lab Support Engineer

Job Description:

Provide lab support and end-to-end (E2E) network level testing for next generation cloud and virtual SDM Solution.

Required skills:

üHands on expert knowledge of OpenStack cloud based operating system including understanding of hypervisors, orchestration, application management, etc.

üExperience building virtual/cloud based labs (installing openstack, cloud band, etc).

üSQA discipline applied to IMS and/or LTE technology and can perform the primary and additional roles/responsibilities above.

Primary role/responsibility:

üAssist with building and installing virtual/cloud based labs in the SDM Complex including creation of the network IP design associated with the lab/test environment.

üResponsible for installing virtual/cloud based platform and application software/firmware releases on all labs in the SDM Complex.

üScheduling lab resources and support tools to the global user community

üProviding consultation to the global test teams to help meet their lab support needs.

Additional roles/responsibilities:

üCreate Network Level Test Programs, comprised of complex multi-network test scenarios, which validate our product with a customer mindset.

üDeveloping SDM integration strategies and hands-on integration of SDM into a complex network including IMS and LTE network elements.

üDeveloping E2E test strategies for OA&M and call processing scenarios, creation of TMS test cases and test execution

üDocument problems found during testing and work with development organizations to debug and verify fixes for these problems

üDefine, automate, execute and analyze a robust suite of regression tests
