The core purpose of the聽Quality Engineer聽role is to champion quality processes throughout our software development lifecycle (SDLC).聽You鈥檒l聽champion and coach product management, software聽engineers聽and others on the best approaches to get a strong confidence in the quality of software that Timely releases.聽You鈥檒l聽also help build and聽maintain聽automated test suites that allow this confidence to be garnered at rapid intervals.聽You鈥檒l聽be a core part of our collective goal to聽maintain聽a high level聽of confidence from our customers in the software they use, ensure our customers can聽maintain聽business continuity, and ensure we can continue to innovate and delight our customers.聽
This role will be heavily involved in influencing the testing lifecycle of our product and upskilling the entire team into how to deliver performant,聽high quality聽software.聽
What you'll bring.
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Software Engineer in Test, working closely with development teams.聽
Demonstrated ability to shift quality left by influencing design and development practices.
Hands-on experience with:聽
Unit testing聽
Integration testing聽
End-to-end automated testing聽
Ability to work with engineers to write, review, and improve tests (not just define them)聽
Strong understanding of the test pyramid and when to apply each test type聽
Experience identifying and mitigating quality risk in complex systems聽
Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders聽
Nice to Have聽
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution聽
Familiarity with test data management and test environments聽
Experience reducing flaky tests and improving pipeline reliability聽
