The South & East Africa Food & Beverage Sales Specialist is responsible for developing Pallâs Food & Beverage sales through a network of channel partners/distributors across South & East Africa.
This position reports to the Middle East, Africa & Turkey Sales Manager and sits within Pallâs Food & Beverage Business Unit. The role can be based in Johannesburg or Nairobi, working remotely while covering the region.
Support, coach, and train distributors as Pallâs route-to-market across Africa; strengthen and expand the channel partner network.
Build in-depth knowledge of food processing customer processes (applications, constraints, compliance expectations, and growth plans) to shape commercial strategy and solution positioning with partners.
Maintain a rigorous and up-to-date funnel in Salesforce (SFDC), ensuring opportunities, stakeholders, next steps, technical requirements, and financial details are captured and updated weekly in line with standard work.
Participate in recurring funnel reviews, presenting opportunity health, risks, forecast impact, and countermeasures to drive predictable closure.
Achieve annual order and revenue targets through existing channel performance and new business development.
Drive progression from qualification to close through disciplined distributor follow-up on quotations, proposals, and customer requests, aligned to standard work.
Engineering, Food Technology, or science-related degree.
Knowledge of the Food & Beverage market.
Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Food processing experience is requiredâable to speak credibly about production environments, process flows, quality/hygiene expectations, and customer pain points (e.g., breweries, dairies, edible oils, bottled water, juice, sugar, wineries, or similar).
Experience in filtration and/or the food industry.
Proven sales track record; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
