Job Summary
Join Cadenceâs VEM team, a key R&D group advancing electromagnetic (EM), thermal, and multiâphysics technologies within the Virtuoso platform. This team builds the EM and thermal modeling capabilities that power todayâs most advanced semiconductor designs, including 2.5D/3DâIC and heterogeneous integration flows.
In this role, youâll work on the Virtuoso Heterogeneous Integration toolset, helping develop nextâgeneration solutions for EM analysis, thermal analysis, RC extraction and multiâfabric modeling across IC, package, and system domains.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated Software Engineer to contribute to cuttingâedge multiâtechnology design, including crossâfabric implementation, die stacking, and multiâphysics analysisâall within a supportive, innovative, and highly collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, troubleshoot, and debug stateâofâtheâart EDA software features and services.
- Scale performance across runtime, memory footprint, and CPU/GPU utilization to support nextâgeneration, largeâscale designs.
- Analyze advanced layout crossâsections and translate insights into robust algorithms and product features.
- Deliver innovative, customerâcentric solutions by leveraging and extending existing tool capabilities.
- Drive process excellence: define improvements, manage schedules and dependencies, and own deliverables endâtoâend.
- Apply ML/AI techniques to automate workflows and improve engineering productivity and quality.
- Collaborate globally with R&D, Product Engineering (PE), and Application Engineering (AE); mentor junior engineers and foster best practices.
Qualifications
- BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics
Experience and Technical Skills required
- 15+ years of software development experience in electronic circuits/EDA/layouts.
- Strong programming skills (C++, SKILL, AI programming platform)
- Good understanding of an electronic circuit/parasitic/EM/thermal analysis will be a plus.
