As an RN in Endoscopy, you will assume responsibility to lead the Endoscopy patient care team in providing quality patient care. Assesses, plans,implementsand evaluates patient care from admission to discharge.Assiststhe physician with diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures andmonitorsthe physiological status of the patient throughout the pre, intra and post-procedure periods. Maintains departmental on-call responsibilities during off-shifts,weekendsand holidays, on a rotating basis.
Acts as a role model to staff members and directs,assignsand supervises ancillary staff team members in providing theappropriate levelof care most efficiently.Is able toeffectively manage theteam workconcept andremainsflexible in response to changes. Demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice and performs by the philosophy,establishedpolicies and procedures, and standards of the Nursing Division, Endoscopy Department, and the Hospital.
36 hoursa week, Full-time day shift, Monday-Friday.
On-call isrequired. The average amount of on-call is 4-5 shifts per month. Weekday hours will be either 5:30 pm-11 pm or 11pm-6 am andweekendand holidays are 7am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am. You are paid an hourly on-call rate, and if called in, you will be paid time and a half.
Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
BSN preferred
PreviousEndoscopy, ED, Surgical &/or ICU/CCU experience preferred
PreviousIV insertion experience preferred.
Previousexperience with Procedural Sedation preferred
Certification/License: Current Massachusetts RN LicensureBasic Life Support (AHA) AdvancedCardiac Life Support (AHA)
Pay Range:
$36.00 - $79.12This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
