You will join our Architecture + Engineering + Construction (AEC) Business and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
We are seeking a Director, Client Development â Data Center (DesignâBuild / EPC) to build, secure, and execute largeâscale capital programs ($100M+), with direct accountability for bookings, commercial strategy, and delivery outcomes. This clientâfacing growth leadership role blends strategic client alignment with deep technical expertise to expand multiâproject initiatives across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and missionâcritical data center environmentsâincluding critical power, cooling infrastructure, network spaces, and operational support facilitiesâin both greenfield and brownfield settings.
Operating outside traditional utilization expectations (e.g., billable hours), the role is measured by bookings, marginâaware account growth, delivery performance, and longâterm client valueâempowering you to focus on highâimpact client strategy, pursuit leadership, and capital alignment in an entrepreneurial environment. Dedicated preconstruction, engineering, and construction teams support the role, ensuring technical depth and delivery leadership partnership complement your accountability in client development. Success in this role is defined by secured bookings, profitable delivery of multiâproject capital programs, and sustained executiveâlevel client relationships. Programs may span phased campus developments, fastâtrack builds, and liveâsite expansions, requiring disciplined delivery strategies in highly scheduleâdriven and uptimeâcritical environments.
Own bookings targets, pricing strategy, and commercial positioning, developing opportunities into secured designâbuild (DB) and engineerâprocureâconstruct (EPC) initiatives supporting data center campuses, critical facilities, power and cooling infrastructure, and network support spacesâleveraging your technical insights to achieve outcomes.
Engage client executive stakeholders across Real Estate, Facilities, Engineering, Operations, IT, Network, Finance, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) to align capital investment with capacity expansion, resiliency, uptime, sustainability, and speedâtoâmarket objectives.
Lead pursuit strategy and executive presentations; negotiate commercial terms, delivery approach, pricing, and risk allocation with direct accountability for contractual outcomes, drawing on technical expertise to build client trust.
Lead internal subject matter experts (SMEs) across architecture/engineering (A/E), missionâcritical systems, preconstruction, construction, and controls to deliver integrated DB/EPC solutions.
Participate in go/noâgo reviews, pipeline governance, forecasting, and customer relationship management (CRM) discipline to support predictable growth and backlog health.
Serve as executive sponsor through execution and closeout, remaining accountable for client satisfaction, commercial performance, and longâterm account profitability.
15+ years leading and delivering capital programs for missionâcritical or infrastructureâintensive clients in a designâbuild, EPC, or integrated A/E/C environmentâparticularly within data centers, technology infrastructure, or other uptimeâcritical facilitiesâwith personal responsibility for securing work, pricing, and delivery execution.
Deep understanding of data center facility systems, including critical power (utility coordination, substations, UPS, generators), cooling systems, redundancy strategies (N, N+1, 2N), controls, phasing, and operational turnover across active and live environments.
Experience leading large, multidisciplinary delivery teams with authority over scope, cost, schedule, and margin.
This role requires ownership of commercial outcomes and delivery risk within a DB/EPC model, using technical expertise to secure and execute highâvalue contracts.
Use industry experience and technical knowledge in delivery strategy development and cost/schedule deârisking, including preconstruction, constructability, phasing, shutdown/tieâin planning, commissioning, and risk managementâall to support client pursuits and marginâaware growth.
Data center sector experience strongly preferred; hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or missionâcritical infrastructure experience applicable.
Experience working in highly reliable, uptimeâcritical environments; familiarity with commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and operational readiness required.
Executiveâlevel communication skills with the ability to influence and align technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders.
Willingness to travel for client engagement, site walkdowns, and industry events.
BS or MS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required; Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
