You will join our Construction Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

Develop andmaintainan effective preconstruction program to produce conceptual and preliminary budgets and schedules,establishand maintain a list of prequalified vendors and subcontractors, develop andmaintainmaster bid documents and scopes of work andparticipatein procurement of major project scopes of work and equipment.

Develop project schedule templates
Planning and Scheduling
Participate in developing initial project estimates (including conceptual estimates) and schedules in consultation with the responsible Partner or Director
Develop a preliminary project schedule.
Procurement
Participate in developing and/or review project bid list
Participate in developing and/or review subcontractor scopes of âŻâŻâŻâŻ work
Participate in and/or review project managers analysis of contract âŻâŻâŻâŻ documents and proposed subcontractor selections
Participate in and/or review projectmanagersmajor material purchase recommendations.
Project Management
Update project estimate based on review of 30/60/90 percent drawings
Review andestablishwith the project manager critical datesprior toproceedingwith detailed scheduling
Adviseproject manager of procurement activities
Participatein post project review with key project personnel
Quality Control
Monitor quality control program activities
Monitor actual verses budgeted cost for major procurement items
Monitor actual verses projected project durations
Additional
Conduct annual performance evaluation of direct reports
Provide periodic reports on workload and department accomplishments
Participate in the development and maintenance of an updated company operations manualâŻ
WhatYouâllBring
10 years of General Contractor related construction and preconstruction experience, at least 5 years of which were directly involved with construction projects.
Experience with manufacturing or industrial sector construction (food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or related industries preferred)
Experience negotiating contracts and putting bids together for final presentation
An understanding of prime contracts requirements including schedules, scopes, budgets, and performance expectations
Construction estimating and procurement experience
Proficiencywith Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Timberline, AutoCAD, or Revit software systems
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task on simultaneous projects
A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings,trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
A bachelorâs degree in engineering or construction management, or a related technical degree (preferred)
OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification (preferred)
