Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our clients Biochemistry team in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established NHS laboratory, contributing to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and professional team, playing a key role in ensuring accurate and timely analysis of patient samples.
What will your responsibilities be:
The role involves performing a wide range of diagnostic tests within the Biochemistry department, ensuring all procedures are carried out in accordance with laboratory protocols and quality standards. The Biomedical Scientist will be responsible for operating and maintaining Cobas Pure and Cobas 8000 analysers, as well as utilising Q-Pulse for quality management. Duties include sample processing, result validation, equipment calibration, and participation in internal and external quality assurance schemes. The ability to work independently and flexibly across different shifts is essential.
