Aim and purpose of the position
Overall responsibility for the product availability of the assigned core product segments (E-Zug) in the central warehouse in Worms (IDC). This includes; inventory planning, correct and timely order calls or production orders, deadline monitoring, requesting backorders. In addition: setting the planning parameters and ongoing replenishment time/minimum order quantity optimization with the trading goods suppliers or the production plant. Metrics: delivery service (SL1) in the fine distribution, delivery service of the suppliers/plants (SSL3) and inventory range of the relevant finished goods segments.
Tasks and activities
• The most important task is to ensure product availability of the assigned core product segments (E-Zug) in the central warehouse in Worms. Target: 98% SL
• Additionally, monitoring of product availability in other parts of the world in the distribution warehouses (LDC). Target: 98% SL1
• Compliance with inventory targets in the central warehouse in Worms for the assigned core product segments (E-Zug), initiating and following up on measures for excess stock and slow-moving items (with the cross-responsible Stock Champion and/or LOPs)
• Living documented processes (e.g. in the PT-AC Management System)
• Daily processing of the resulting plans and evaluations
• Identifying, actively taking up, openly discussing and, if necessary, redefining potential for improvement in logistics processes, from the supplier to the retailer
• Analysis (target achievement) of the logistics key figures and, if necessary, initiating short-term corrective measures for sustainable improvement
• Implementing/implementing the direct delivery concept as far as possible (possibly with LOP)
• Resolving delivery bottlenecks sustainably by analyzing errors with suppliers and/or the relevant LOP colleague Procurement logistics
• Ensuring on-time delivery
• Systematic and consistent tracking of all missing parts/backlogs
• Medium-term planning in accordance with requirements/wishes of suppliers
• Joint problem solving with suppliers (regular visits / coordination meetings)
• Continuous improvement of supplier or factory replenishment times (reduction of delivery times and increase in reliability) and minimum order quantities
• Consistent expansion of safety stocks at suppliers (target: all core suppliers)
• Collaboration in contract creation (logistics part)
• Weekly information on current and future delivery situation (e.g. B. Delivery Meeting)
• Targeted and systematic backlog processing
