The Hardware Team Leader will be responsible for leading a group of engineers focused on the development of Power Electronics solutions for Electrified Motion applications. This role combines technical leadership, people development, and project execution, ensuring high鈥憅uality hardware designs that meet OEM requirements, Bosch design standards, and internal quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance for hardware engineers in power electronics design (thermal, EMC, PCB layout, packaging, component selection, DFMEA/DRBFM, etc).
- Review and approve design concepts, schematics, layouts, and validation plans.
- Ensure alignment with Bosch core engineering, global design standards, and product roadmaps.
- Support technical proposals for new business acquisitions, defining feasible and competitive design solutions.
Team & Competency Development
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.
- Conduct regular career development dialogues and performance evaluations.
- Own the competency strategy for the hardware team, driving continuous training and capability growth.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and quality.
Project & Customer Interface
- Serve as first-level escalation point for OEMs and internal stakeholders (Design, Manufacturing, etc).
- Participate in project planning, risk analysis, and technical reviews.
- Ensure realistic project schedules and transparent reporting of risks and issues.
- Support cross鈥慺unctional problem solving, cost鈥憆eduction initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Operational & Administrative
- Ensure proper monthly billing (MCR) and staffing planning.
- Oversee compliance to Bosch processes (ECM, configuration management, requirement, etc.).
- Coordinate activities using Planisware, Promise, and other Bosch tools.
