We are looking for an experienced and driven Mechanical Design Leader to head the Mechanical Design Department for dishwashers within our R&D organization. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for the end-to-end mechanical system design, development, and validation of dishwasher products โ from early concept through mass production.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation dishwasher technologies, ensuring industry-leading performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and manufacturability, while driving innovation and platform-based development across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the mechanical technology roadmap and innovation strategy for dishwashers, ensuring strong alignment with product planning and business objectives.
- Lead the full development lifecycle of dishwasher products and core mechanical subsystems (e.g. hydraulic system, drying system, structure and door assembly), from concept design and simulation through verification, industrialization, and successful mass production.
- Take full accountability for product performance, reliability, quality, and on-time market launch.
- Champion platform-based and modular mechanical architectures, promoting reuse and standardization to reduce complexity, cost, and development time while improving quality consistency and supply chain robustness.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve mechanical design standards, development processes, and verification systems, ensuring consistent application of best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Lead technical reviews and key design decisions; proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing mechanical design team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Work closely with the German headquarters in Dillingen, ensuring effective cross-site collaboration, technical alignment, and knowledge exchange.
