Lead and manage a team of test engineers, technicians, and analysts responsible for validating steering systems (hardware, software, and mechatronic components).
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and validation protocols for steering systems across development phases (Components, bench, HIL, durability, and on-road testing).
Oversee execution of tests to ensure compliance with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262 for ASIL-rated systems), regulatory requirements (GB, ECE), and internal quality benchmarks.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams: design/release engineers, software developers, vehicle tests, suppliers, and program management to define test requirements, resolve issues, and support root cause analysis (e.g., using FMEA, Problem solving, data logging).
Ensure traceability of requirements to test cases/coverage and oversee documentation for audits and homologation.
Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of steering system test facilities, including bench test rigs, durability test stands, NVH acoustic chambers, environmental chambers, to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and repeatability of test results.
Manage test facility assets and infrastructure: develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate equipment calibrations, upgrades, and repairs (e.g., actuators, load simulators, data acquisition systems, environmental controls), and troubleshoot facility-related issues to minimize downtime and support program timelines.
Lead lab safety, housekeeping, and compliance programs: enforce lab safety protocols corporate EHS standards, and regulatory requirements for test operations.
Manage lab inventory, procurement, and budgeting: oversee ordering and stocking of consumables, spare parts, sensors, and test-specific components track and control lab operating budgets, including capital requests for new test equipment or facility expansions.
