1. Procurement Strategy & Governance
O Lead both Direct and Indirect purchasing activities for the plant with full ownership of procurement performance.
O Define and implement the overall procurement strategy aligned with business objectives including growth, profitability, localization, and risk mitigation.
O Develop and execute short-term and long-term sourcing roadmaps.
O Lead category strategies, commodity planning, and supplier segmentation models.
O Drive global sourcing and localization initiatives to enhance competitiveness and supply stability.
2. Cost Leadership & Financial Ownership
O Own annual cost reduction targets and material budget control in coordination with plant and central teams.
O Lead strategic negotiations for high-value contracts and long-term agreements.
O Drive value engineering, cost benchmarking, and productivity improvement programs.
O Monitor commodity trends and implement appropriate hedging and mitigation strategies.
O Contribute to working capital optimization through inventory and payment term management.
3. Supplier Strategy & Risk Management
O Build and sustain a robust, competitive, and risk-balanced supplier base.
O Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
O Implement dual sourcing strategies and proactive supply risk mitigation plans.
O Ensure business continuity planning for critical components and services.
4. Compliance, Controls & Commercial Governance
O Ensure procurement compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and corporate governance standards.
O Establish & monitor transparent procurement processes, approval matrices, and delegation frameworks.
O Drive audit readiness (ISO/system, DC, MP & others) and ensure zero compliance gaps.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
O Collaborate with Engineering to enable early supplier involvement in New Product Development (NPD).
O Work closely with Manufacturing to improve cost, quality, delivery, and productivity.
O Work with planners & support / built the necessary outsource capacity.
O Align with Finance and central functions for budget planning, cost tracking, and working capital optimization.
6. Leadership & Organizational Development
O Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing purchasing team.
O Define KRAs, set clear performance metrics, and drive a results-oriented culture.
O Develop succession planning and strengthen team capabilities through training and development initiatives.
O Promote ethical procurement practices and a culture of transparency and accountability.
